The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) is the body established under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021 for the technical and commercial regulation and sustainable development of Nigeria’s upstream petroleum sector.

NUPRC’s regulatory approach underpinned by professionalism, responsiveness, ownership and integrity provides oversight across the upstream value chain, including exploration, development, production, acreage management, economics, health, safety, environment, petroleum data management, licences, leases and permits administration.
