Wim Thomas

• Former Chief Energy Advisor of Royal Dutch Shell.  His team is widely known for the Shell Energy Scenarios published from time to time.  He advised the C-suite and Board on all kind of energy matters, not just oil & gas but all energies.  In particular, transition trajectories impacting corporate strategy and price forming impacting long-term investments.




• Presently he is member of the Investment Committee of T2Y Capital, a PE firm investing in the growth phase of companies in the sustainable energy value chain.




• He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Buccaneer Delft, an innovation platform on the intersect of maritime industries and sustainable energy, and




• Founder of ES3, a consultancy focussing on Energy Systems, Scenarios to Strategies.




• Wim is Chairman of the Netherlands National Committee of WPC Energy, which focusses on bringing the new and old energies together to further a sustainable energy transition.




• He holds a Master degree of Engineering of Delf University.
