Ghassan Abulfaraj

Ghassan G. Abulfaraj, Vice President and Chief Loss Prevention Engineer at Saudi Aramco, holds master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, with a specialization in Safety Engineering, from the University of Southern California. He has also completed the Saudi Aramco Management Development Program in Washington, D.C., as well as the Senior Executive Program at the London Business School. 

With more than 37 years of experience, Ghassan has held leadership roles across refining, engineering, industrial security, fire protection, and loss prevention. 

Internationally recognized for his contributions to fire protection and rescue, he was named Fire Chief of the Year in 2018, becoming the first recipient from outside the United States. Since his appointment as Vice President and Chief Loss Prevention Engineer in 2021, he has provided oversight of all Saudi Aramco affiliates and led the company’s safety and fire prevention strategies, engineering, governance, and global safety oversight.
