Saad Binmatlig

As the Yasref President and CEO, Saad brings 24 years of extensive experience in the downstream business. He has worked in key facilities such as Jeddah Refinery, Riyadh Refinery, Ras Tanura Refinery, Jua'ymah NGL and SATORP, as well as in the USA. 

At Aramco headquarters he was integral to operations, engineering, strategy, finance and economics. Saad led programs with strategic impact and facilitated key decisions with Saudi Aramco executives. As the head of Downstream Strategy and Capital Planning, he drove business growth and investment prioritization. As VP of Engineering at SATORP he implemented a value creation program, managed Jeddah Refinery's closure, ensuring smooth HR transitions, and enhanced safety and reliability programs at Ras Tanura Refinery.  

Saad is active in industry conferences, Chaired the Resilient Refining session at the World Petroleum Congress and was the Technical Chairman for the GDA conference. Saad hold a bachelor's in chemical engineering from Colorado State University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix (USA)”.
