Nader Abou-Dagga

Dr. Nader Abou-Dagga holds a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in neural-network-based data classification. He brings more than two decades of international experience in grid software and automation, spanning solution architecture, SCADA/DMS and automation systems, product and delivery management, and OT product-line leadership. Throughout his career, he has built a strong track record of driving commercial growth, leading high-performing teams, and scaling enterprise software businesses across MENAT, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

As Executive Chief Technology Officer of Alfanar Electric’s eDAS (Energy Digital and Automation Solutions) Business Unit, Dr. Abou-Dagga leads the digital transformation of Alfanar’s businesses and factories. He is responsible for developing the company’s grid software and automation portfolio, including SCADA/DMS/EMS, Asset Performance Management, digital substations, centralized and virtualized automation, and the digital enablement of Alfanar equipment. Through these initiatives, he is helping position Alfanar as a leading grid-technology player in Saudi Arabia and the GCC, leveraging the company’s extensive installed base in electrical equipment and automation.

Dr. Abou-Dagga also contributes deep industry expertise, strategic business vision, and a broad network of regional and international partners. He supports the development of strategic partnerships and acquisition opportunities with global OEMs and innovative technology companies specializing in grid software and automation. An active contributor to the evolution of the power and energy industry, he has authored and presented papers at Saudi IEEE, GCC CIGRE, CIGRE Paris, and other international conferences.
