Mr. Omar Alhassan is a dynamic business leader with extensive experience in project 
development and corporate transformation across multiple sectors, including consulting 
services and Independent Power Producers (IPPs). His leadership and deep industry 
expertise have earned him positions on the boards of prominent companies in Saudi 
Arabia, Oman, and Uzbekistan, providing him with broad exposure to corporate 
governance, performance management, risk assessment, and audit oversight in major 
infrastructure and power projects. 
Mr. Omar has held senior leadership roles across international IPP projects, building deep 
expertise in renewable energy technologies and business models. He is recognized for 
aligning cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects with strong execution 
discipline. He previously served as Executive Managing Director of Noor Energy 1, the 
world’s largest concentrated solar power plant, driving its strategic direction and 
positioning it as a global benchmark for sustainable energy. Prior to that, he was CEO of 
Shuaa Energy 3, advancing large-scale renewable developments in the region. 
As KSA Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Omar leads the overall Saudi Arabia portfolio, with full 
accountability for performance, profitability, and strategic growth. He oversees a diverse 
portfolio of assets across different technologies and project phases, ensuring alignment 
with corporate objectives while strengthening operational excellence, governance, and 
stakeholder relationships at the national level. In this role, he drives value creation through 
portfolio optimization, supports the development of new opportunities, and enhances the 
company’s positioning within the Kingdom’s evolving energy landscape. 
Mr. Omar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Taibah University and 
a Master’s degree in International Business and Renewable Energy from Heidelberg 
University. He has also completed executive leadership programs at PwC and IMD, further 
strengthening his impact in the renewable energy and business sectors.
