Richard Pearcy

Richard Pearcy has work in the Seismic industry for over 50 years starting in 1976 when he worked on a seismic survey crew. A year Later he joined CGG as a processor then moved to Suncor Energy, and then PanCanadian Petroleum. In 1989 Richard joined Schlumberger Canada working in the wireline department specializing in borehole seismic applications. Over the next 21 years he worked on various VSP projects involving a full spectrum of activities including onshore and offshore planning and executing surveys in; Canada, North Africa, West Africa, Oman, and the United States. After leaving SLB as Domian Champion for West Africa in 2010 he came back to Calgary and started working for a VSP/Microseismic acquisition company as VP of their operations. In 2023 Richard joined Optiseis Solutions Ltd., where he is now COO and oversees a diverse team specializing in seismic acquisition innovations, VSP processing, and software development.
