Joseph McMonigle is a leading authority on energy, international business and politics. He is the former Secretary General (2020-2025) of the International Energy Forum (IEF) and currently is President of the Global Center for Energy Analysis, a research group focused on global energy markets and issues. He also serves as Middle East Managing Director for MIP Real Assets, the international platform of Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP), Latin America’s largest infrastructure fund with USD $13 billion AUM. In addition, he is Chairman & CEO of Alula Advisors, a management consulting firm helping clients explore business opportunities and transactions in Saudi Arabia and GCC market.
McMonigle is the former Vice Chairman of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Board of Governors and former Chief of Staff at US Department of Energy. He is also a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy.
